In the last meeting, our instructor let us watch a movie which significant to our course. The title of the movie is "Searching", the story was all about a Margot unexpectedly loss and her father David find ways how he will find her daughter through the use of technology. David was worried about what happened to her daughter because it's been a couple of days she loses and no connection to her. He was desperate to find her daughter, he uses the laptop of her daughter which Margot forget to bring. He opens everything like files, emails, websites, and especially the social media account of Margot on the laptop. He was able to open all the accounts of his daughter by using many ways. Through this, he was able to find out what's going on to her daughter and he also knows what problem that Margot has now. All the details and information that he gathered on the internet he able to look at the conclusion of the problem and be able to find her daughter.
The movie makes us viewers realize what is the truth and the advantage and disadvantages of technology the internet for particular. On the internet we're able to post information, comment as a response, and share the information which can be essential to us use of the internet. But behind this, there are some people make bad things on the internet. They can be a poser or they can make fake news and spread it on the internet which is bad. This movie emphasizes the use of the internet, we can easily find information online. Also, we can easily communicate with people through social media. Internet use to spread information faster, and everything is on the internet.
I learned in the movie that not all people in social media are true. They are poser who wants to get trouble and harm people. Not all information in the social media and website are true some of this is fake news which makes none sense in the internet world. In the movie show what relationship develop when communicating through the internet. Much better to develop a relationship with someone through communicating in real life. That was all I learned in this lesson.
