New ICT in Teaching

Welcome to my blog. In this blog discuss the ICT policies and issues and implications to teaching and learning. The first question is what is the ICT Policy? According to our instructor, the ICT Policy is a course of action, adopted and pursued by government and institutions. In the 21st century, we have now the new ICT Technology and there are three parts. First is Information Technology, the use of a company that has become indispensable in modern societies to process data and save time. Second is Telecommunication Technologies include telephones and the broadcasting of radio and television. The third is Networking Technologies, it is the internet but has extended to mobile phone technology. Because of the trend of technology, there are some issues with ICT and Internet Policy and Regulation, and we have four global issues. First is freedom of expression and censorship, we people have a freedom to express our self our feelings and opinion in a different way but there are some people share it over in online which make conflict and issues in the public. Second, privacy and security, online we didn’t know if we are safe o there are some cases happen online about privacy and security. The third is Surveillance and data retention, in the technology world many devices and technology make to help people to be safe and protected but some of these devices use people in bad ways.

For me using the new technologies is very beneficial to us people. These new technologies were created to us our daily life easier. But like our instructor said some people use technologies to harm other people which not good for our society. Technology is evolving from time to time and for me this technology meant to be used in good ways. But I feel sad many people use in bad ways as well. Many people might be in danger using technology and the internet even they are innocent they ate not safe. That’s why institutions and governments make a safety policy for people safe in using their website on the internet. On the other hand, technology has a big contribution to education. Technology very trend in education we used the gadget, internet and other devices in teaching. In this case, the student is more potentiation to learn and grow their knowledge.

I realize that technology is now part of our daily life. It's like we can't live without them because everything that we need is here in technology. Technology has an advantage and disadvantage to us but in this case, we need to be positive in this matter. Because if we think technology is more at a disadvantage, there is no point to use technology because it's useless. So we have to think about the brighter side of the technology because technology is powerful that can provide our daily needs.

How To Become a Teacher under BTVTEd?

Hello to my blog! This blog is all about the CHED Memorandum Order No. 79 Series of 2017 and the subject of this order is Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for the Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher (BTVTED). The BTVTED was the upgraded version of the old program Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education and this program was made for those people who want to be a teacher but in the major in the technical – vocational course. The memorandum order stated a different article and section that explain the program's goal, process, and outcome. In Article 3, our instructor explains to us that we in higher education have academic freedom but we should pass all the requirements in a specific academic program. In the last meeting, our instructor let us watch a movie which significant to our course. The title of the movie is "Searching", the story was all about a Margot unexpectedly loss and her father David find ways how he will find her daughter through the use of technology. David was worried about what happened to her daughter because it's been a couple of days she loses and no connection to her. He was desperate to find her daughter, he uses the laptop of her daughter which Margot forget to bring. He opens everything like files, emails, websites, and especially the social media account of Margot on the laptop. He was able to open all the accounts of his daughter by using many ways. Through this, he was able to find out what's going on to her daughter and he also knows what problem that Margot has now.
