How To Become a Teacher under BTVTEd?

Hello to my blog! This blog is all about the CHED Memorandum Order No. 79 Series of 2017 and the subject of this order is Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for the Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher (BTVTED). The BTVTED was the upgraded version of the old program Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education and this program was made for those people who want to be a teacher but in the major in the technical – vocational course. The memorandum order stated a different article and section that explain the program's goal, process, and outcome. In Article 3, our instructor explains to us that we in higher education have academic freedom but we should pass all the requirements in a specific academic program. Our instructor presents the other specialization in BTVTEd which is under Article 4 and he reminds us even we have one specialization we need to study all the specialization stated the article 3 for preparing in the licensure exam. He told us a story about the possible happens to us in the future.

This BTVTEd program breaks the rule of a traditional teacher. We think the teacher before that they have one focused subject on the class. For example, if you are an English teacher so you teach all sub-subject that related only in English subject but the BTVTEd has a many variation or specialization. Because it was a Technical – Vocational degree you have the freedom to choose what specialization you want to. You can be a teacher in Computer programing, or you can be a teacher in Computer Hardware Servicing or any specialization listed in BTVTEd. Because you are a Technical – Vocational Livelihood teacher it’s not ended on what specialization that you chose that you teach in your student, you can also simply share information of other strands of a TVL Track that you know or insight and basic learning on that strand. The BTVTEd is quietly more extensive compared to the other Teacher program and course that we have. For me, the BTVTEd program was the perfect program for those students that have talent, interest, skill, and knowledge about Technical – Vocational courses.

I learned that being become a teacher is difficult. Many struggles will happen but being in the field in education all these struggles and problems will overcome. From now on I will study hard so that I can be e good teacher in the future. This journey of being a teacher is a thing that I need to treasure because one day  I am the one who shares and idea and lesson to my future student.
