Power of PowerPoint


This week we have a unit test about the past lesson that we discussed. The unit test was more on the essay questions. Answering the unit test is not easy, it needs many ideas to create or formulate a thought make it a sentence and connect it to the question. Also, making essay need to be careful in the spelling, grammar, and proper constructing of the sentence. Overall, I able to answer all the essay questions because all of the questions were discussed and I review it before the unit test. After the unit test, our instructor discussed some tips and advice in terms of creating a PowerPoint presentation.  Because he notices some failure and not proper designing of making a PowerPoint presentation. One of his advice is to be creative in PowerPoint, it is better to create your own design in the slide than to use the pre-download template in the PowerPoint. Proper using of color especially in the color of the background and the color of the text, should be contrasted to each other. We can add some images to catch the people's attention, more images of the message or lesson are more powerful. Also, the content of the presentation not overloaded of the text, it tends people to distract and to be bored in the discussion. Lastly, be inspired, be inspired making a PowerPoint and delivering the PowerPoint to the people.

Using PowerPoint presentations is very essential to us presenter or reporters. It helps us to deliver effectively the message of our topic. But as I experience, we need to be careful in using PowerPoint because it will turn out your discussion will not effective to the listeners. So, we should follow apply the guidelines and advice to make our listeners encourage to focus the discussion. One of the tips that I can give is you make check your PowerPoint presentation to the expert or professional so that it can be changed and improve your PowerPoint presentation.

Technology is very helpful for us especially for us students and future teachers. Make the technology as a tool to improve our reporting and teaching skill. Use this technology as an advantage for everything and use it meaningfully and essential for everyday life.

This blog is all about the CHED Memorandum Order No. 79 Series of 2017 and the subject of this order is Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for the Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher (BTVTED). The BTVTED was the upgraded version of the old program Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education and this program was made for those people who want to be a teacher but in the major in the technical – vocational course. The memorandum order stated a different article and section that explain the program's goal, process, and outcome. In the last meeting, our instructor let us watch a movie which significant to our course. The title of the movie is "Searching", the story was all about a Margot unexpectedly loss and her father David find ways how he will find her daughter through the use of technology. David was worried about what happened to her daughter because it's been a couple of days she loses and no connection to her. He was desperate to find her daughter, he uses the laptop of her daughter which Margot forget to bring. He opens everything like files, emails, websites, and especially the social media account of Margot on the laptop. He was able to open all the accounts of his daughter by using many ways. Through this, he was able to find out what's going on to her daughter and he also knows what problem that Margot has now.
