Instructional Materials can use in Teaching.

Welcome to my blog! In last meeting we discuss about the using of mobile phone and QR code and Development and Use of Non-Digital or Conventional Materials. Let’s discuss about QR code, the QR stands for Quick Response. It allows the reader to decode the information at a high rate of speed. Usually the use of QR code use to give the website and the code of the product. So how the QR code read or work? In your smart phone download a QR code reader if you don’t have a built in QR code scanner in your phone. After you download open the app and the camera will operate as scanner. Position the camera phone in the QR code inside the guide box in the phone screen. The app automatically read the QR code and show what is the information or code behind the QR code. The QR code will be helpful in education like using QR code we can do a resource sharing, classroom activities, research project, etc.

For addition in the discussion is the Learning Portfolio. The portfolio is the collection of student work, example of this are album and scrapbook. In every detail inside of the portfolio has a reflection or the learnings you learn to it. This are the major element in a portfolio first is description, this a brief description or your experience on that work or event. Second is feelings, this the things that you feel or what you think about the work or events. Third is the evaluation, this is the bad or good happen about the situation or event. Fourth is the analysis, this is the analysis on the result of the evaluation make some explanation about the result in the evaluation. Fifth is the conclusion, thus is were going to focus in what you learned. Lastly is the Action Plan, is this were you going to make plan if the certain situation or event will happen again.

In the lesson in the Developing and use of Non-Digital or Conventional Materials there is what we called Instructional Materials. The Instructional Material are print and non-print items that present information and graphics that show to the student. The role of Instructional Material promote meaningful communication and effective learning, they help to overcome the limited classroom by making the inaccessible accessible and they encourage participation especially if students are allowed to manipulate materials.

In using Instruction Material, there is a guideline when designing conventional Instructional Material. This are Unity, Simplicity, Legibility, Consistency, Clarity.

This all lesson is very helpful to us to the teachers specially us future teacher. Because not all teacher has own laptop and projector to present the lesson using PowerPoint Presentation. This all lesson is very helpful as alternative learning materials. You just have to find out what is the effective Instructional Material that effective in the lesson. Also, this Instructional Material serve as a variation of way in teaching, because some student is easily to get bored or distracted in the same way of teaching. I learned that there is no reason to be a teacher that cannot teach the student properly because there is a lot of ways.
